Breakfast-Lunch favorite Sunny Street Café announced the rollout of a new Limited Time Offer menu, available at all of the chain’s 13 locations. The menu features 7 new items that showcase popular Tex-Mex flavors, all with a fresh Sunny Street twist.
The Southwestern Specialties menu includes Tex-Mex classics like migas, breakfast tacos and tortilla soup. Each item has been enhanced to reflect the fresh and unique menu that Sunny Street Café offers. “Our breakfast tacos have been a huge hit so far,” said Mike Stasko, Vice President of Brand Strategy. “Rather than simply serving eggs, cheese and salsa in a tortilla, our chefs have taken the dish to a new level by adding spicy chorizo, julienned lettuce and house made pico de gallo, resulting in an incredible dish.”
Other breakfast offerings include Tres Leches French Toast, Baja Veggie Omelette, and a Southwest Scramble.
To expand on their lunch offerings, Sunny Street Café began testing a Chipotle Chicken Flatbread earlier this year. “The response was overwhelmingly positive,” Stasko said. “It may end up being our most popular item by the time the Southwestern Specialties menu is over in August.” To make the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread, a chicken breast is basted in a chipotle-lime marinade, cooked on the char grill and then stuffed into a warm garlic flatbread. It’s topped with cheddar-jack cheese, sautéed onions and peppers, fresh pico de gallo, lettuce and cilantro sour cream.
Sunny Street’s homemade soup line is also showcased on the new menu with Chicken Tortilla Soup. Homemade soups debuted in all stores last year and continue to be a popular offering.
Many of the new menu items were inspired by the four current Sunny Street Café locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. “We are poised for tremendous growth in Texas,” Stasko said. “Our new Southwestern Specialties menu lends itself nicely to our continued development in the DFW and Houston markets. Many of the flavor profiles we’ve developed were inspired by specials in our North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Murphy and Weatherford restaurants.”
The menu, with new items highlighted below, is currently available in all 13 Sunny Street Café locations throughout Ohio, Texas, and Missouri. It is also available for viewing at www.sunnystreetcafe.com.
