Annual “Shamrocks” Raises Money For Research

Sunny Street Café Participates in MDA FundraiserSunny Street Café is partnering with the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Columbus (MDA) to help raise money for research and families in the community. MDA supports kids and adults with neuromuscular diseases by funding research, helping families get access to care, and more.

The Shamrocks program is MDA’s iconic consumer engagement program. The paper Shamrocks have become powerful symbols of hope for MDA families in the community and across the country. The program is now the nation’s largest St Patrick’s Day fundraiser. The donations goes toward funding for research and to provide families with access to life-changing programs from day one, such as state-of-the-art clinics, support groups, and summer camps for kids.

“Community outreach is a core value at Sunny Street,” says Mike Stasko, VP of Brand Strategy.  “MDA Columbus is a great cause and does great things for our community. Participating in their Shamrocks program was a clear commitment for our Columbus restaurants.”

Select restaurants will be participating in Columbus this year, with the goal of supporting children to attend the MDA’s annual summer camp. For more information visit http://sunnystreetcafe.com/news/mda-shamrocks-sunny-street.
