Taco Cabana will flame-grill more than 30,000 chicken breasts to create more than 60,000 chicken fajita tacos for its guests next Tuesday.
The fast-casual chain with its Mexican patio cafe environment and true flavors of Mexico-inspired menu, is giving away the free chicken fajita tacos on Oct. 2 in anticipation of National Taco Day. Taco Cabana says it plans to exceed the number of tacos given away last year.
“We can’t think of a better way to celebrate a favorite Mexican item than to give them to our guests for free,” said Todd Coerver, interim chief operating officer at Taco Cabana. “Our chicken fajita tacos are made with flame-grilled, all-white chicken breast and fresh-made flour tortillas. Last year we gave out 60,000 tacos for National Taco Day, and this year we’re planning for an even bigger turnout.”
The free taco day event invites guests to receive one free chicken fajita taco per person, while supplies last, from 5 to 8 p.m. at participating Taco Cabana locations, no purchase necessary. Guests are welcome to top off their taco at the complimentary salsa bar, where choices include a variety of handmade salsas, jalapenos, chopped onions and fresh cut limes. Guests visiting in celebration of Free Taco Day will also receive a “Two Can Dine for $9.99” coupon for a later visit.
The free taco day event runs through Taco Cabana’s popular weekday happy hour (4 to 7 p.m.), featuring $1.50 domestics and tequila margaritas, as well as $1.50 OFF all nachos.
