Texas de Brazil Opens 37th Restaurant

Texas de Brazil Opens 37th RestaurantAward-winning churrascaria, Texas de Brazil, opened their much anticipated D.C. location Wednesday in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood. The new 8,700 sq. foot restaurant features a chef’s table, a private dining room, a signature wine wall and a bar/lounge area. The space accommodates 280 guests and will also offer outdoor patio dining.

“It is with much honor and excitement that we open our doors to the residents and visitors of our nation’s capital,” stated COO, Salim Asrawi. “The city is so alive with energy and enriched with beauty and history; the fact that we can be a part of that, is a very rewarding experience.”

The restaurant’s menu combines the cuisine of Southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas, for a dining experience unmatched anywhere else. At each table, Gauchos will carve an array of grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken and sausage, as directed by the guest’s red and green disks that indicate when to bring more meat or when a break is needed. The steakhouse also offers an elaborate salad area, beautifully decorated by large tropical flowers and featuring 50 fresh gourmet items, such as imported cheeses, charcuterie, Brazilian black beans, roasted vegetables and creamy lobster bisque. Also featured is an extensive award-winning wine list, rich in South American varietals, to further enhance the dining experience.

Texas de Brazil in D.C. is open for dinner nightly and will soon be featuring lunch hours. The dining prices are $46.99 for a Regular Dinner, which includes the meat service and salad area, and $24.99 for Salad Area Only Dinner (prices exclude beverages and dessert).  Children under 2 years old are complimentary; ages 3–5 are $5.00; and kids 6–12 dine for half-price.
