The Bakings of a Milestone: Nestlé Toll House Café Set to Open 25th Texas Location in Wichita Falls

Sikes Senter to welcome popular bakery café tomorrow

As another sweltering Texas summer peaks with triple-digit temps, Sikes Senter Mall is about to get a whole lot cooler – and sweeter – when it welcomes the state’s 25th Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip tomorrow.

The bakery café opens on Friday, July 25, and specializes in serving up freshly baked cookies, smoothies, ice cream and a wide array of delectable treats. The location is one of 18 cafés set to open this year under a long-term master lease agreement signed in October 2013 with Rouse Properties, Inc. (NYSE: RSE), a national owner and operator of regional enclosed malls. It also marks the first of its kind in Wichita Falls and the 134th system-wide.

Having presided over the Dippin’ Dots and Cinnabon kiosks at Sikes Senter for years, franchise owner Kevin Lott is excited to bring the Nestlé Toll House Café experience to his long-time patrons. As the go-to host of sweet escapes for bustling shoppers, Lott said he’s looking forward to offering even more variety thanks to the café’s tasty sit-down meal options.

“The idea of introducing the best that Nestlé has to offer has been absolutely thrilling for me. I’ve gotten to know the trends here, and there’s no doubt that this bakery café is going to be a perfect fit,” Lott said. “Nestlé Toll House Café offers something for everyone, and I’m very excited to start serving our wide array of world famous products to the people of Wichita Falls.”

The premium dessert destination concept is built around the world’s most powerful food brand – Nestlé. Along with its universally loved Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the new café serves brownies, muffins, smoothies, ice creams, cold drinks and Nescafé Milano coffee. The café is also a great lunch option, thanks to its made-to-order crepes, wraps and Panini sandwiches.

Complete with its own comfortable seating area, the café features digital menus displayed on eight LED screens and an upgraded design that showcases the brand’s distinctive product offerings in a more efficient and attractive manner.

“Our cafés have been very successful in malls throughout Texas and beyond, so we’ve been looking forward to including the popular Sikes Senter in our continuing expansion,” said Shawnon Bellah, senior vice president of global operations for Nestlé Toll House Cafe. “In the land of true Southern hospitality, we couldn’t ask for a better franchise partner than Kevin, who is totally committed to providing warm and friendly customer service.”

The Sikes Senter Mall is located at 3111 Midwestern Parkway, with the Nestlé Toll House Café situated in the mall’s center court. Café hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
