The Dairy Queen System Celebrates National Ice Cream Month with Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie as the Featured Blizzard of the Month

The Dairy Queensystem, a Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A and BRK.B) company, kicks off National Ice Cream Month in July with the return of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie as the featured Blizzardof the Month in July.

The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie Blizzard Treat combines three mouthwatering tastes in one cup with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup pieces, graham pie crust and creamy DQvanilla soft serve. The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie Blizzard Treat is available at all participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants nationwide beginning July 1.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie Blizzard Treats are available in four sizes, including the popular Mini, and also can be served in a waffle cone.

“Our Blizzard Treatpie flavors have become a fan favorite,” said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “Where else but at Dairy Queen stores can you enjoy your favorite pie in a cup?”

Many Blizzard Treat flavors, including Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie, can easily be made into DQ Cakes, which are perfect to celebrate Fourth of July, National Ice Cream Day on July 20 and special events such as birthdays and anniversaries.

The Dairy Queen system began blending simple combinations of chocolates, cookies, candies, fruits and nuts with DQ soft serve in 1985 to create the signature Blizzard Treat. The iconic treat has created the served upside-down Blizzard culture and since then, one-of-a-kind flavors such as Chocolate Candy Shop and Confetti Cake have delighted Dairy Queen fans as part of the featured Blizzard of the Month program, which began in 2003.
