The Dairy Queen System's Epic Resolution

Dairy Queen will serve you a Blizzard Treat upside down or the next one is free

The Dairy Queen System's Epic ResolutionThe start of the New Year often comes with grand resolutions. But this year, Dairy Queen restaurants franchised by American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ), a Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A and BRK.B) company, are kicking off the New Year with an epic resolution: beginning January 1, 2016, participating DQ and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants across the country vow to serve all Blizzard Treats upside down or the next one is free.

“Upside Down or Free demonstrates to our fans that we are committed to offering the thickest, most delicious treat experience there is,” said Barry Westrum, Executive Vice President of Marketing for ADQ. “We are kicking off the New Year with a resolution to serve our signature Blizzard Treat upside down or the next one is free. We have turned our thinking upside down to deliver this unique experience that our fans can only have at DQ locations.”

At participating restaurants, if a customer is served a Blizzard Treat without the upside-down presentation, they will receive a coupon good for a free Blizzard Treat on their next visit. Fans using the drive-thru window will even see their first Blizzard Treat turned upside down. All Blizzard Treats are made to order and are available in four sizes, including the popular Mini.

The distinctive treat experience is one that fans will not find at other quick-service restaurants. Flipping Blizzard Treats upside down proves their creamy, decadent thickness. It brings the brand to life and creates a truly unique experience fans love. “Our upside-down philosophy means we think differently and surprise our fans with unexpected flavors and twists,” added Westrum.

To support Upside Down or Free, the Dairy Queen system is planning special Blizzard Treat flavor news during the year. Fans can visit upsidedownorfree.com for more about Upside Down or Free.
