The Krystal Company, the oldest quick service restaurant chain in the South known for its iconic square hamburgers, announced that Scott Gallagher, will be joining the Company as its Vice President, New Assets and Implementation, effective immediately. He will report to CEO Omar Janjua.
“The Vice President, New Assets and Implementation, is a critical role that will focus on our strategic goal of rebuilding our existing assets and developing new points of distribution profitably. I have worked with Scott before and know, firsthand, that he understands the importance of partnering with Development, Operations and Marketing to ensure we succeed with our growth strategy while delivering a great experience to our customers,” Janjua said.
As Vice President, New Assets and Implementation, Gallagher will be responsible for all aspects of restaurant refurbishment and new build implementation in support for more than 230 Company owned restaurants and 6,000 employees. He is a veteran of the restaurant industry with 30 years of highly successful and progressive experience improving revenue, profitability, operations and overall business performance in growth and brand turnaround situations.
Most recently, Gallagher served for eight years as the Division President Southeast for Steak N Shake, where during the last five years he has led the company in sales, traffic, and profit growth. Prior to Steak N Shake, he spent more than 15 years at Chili’s Grill & Bar/Brinker International with the last eight years of his tenure as Regional Director, responsible for 85 restaurants spanning six states. He was also directly responsible for opening 40 new restaurants.
Gallagher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He has completed several leadership and development programs during his career including those with the Ken Blanchard Companies, PDI International and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
