New Aurelio’s franchise owners John and Sara Roach realize a dream with their favorite pizzeria
Aurelio’s Pizza, a well-loved iconic family pizzeria with 41 locations across six states, is now officially open in Peoria and is ready to serve pizza lovers with its famous fare.
For more than 54 years, Aurelio’s has been a favorite of thin-crust, Chicago-style pizza aficionados. Now, new franchisees John and Sara Roach are bringing the great taste of Aurelio’s to Peoria. The new Aurelio’s Pizza is a beautiful 5,000 sq. ft. dine-in restaurant with seating for 115 and a family friendly ambiance. Entirely renovated and in the former Pizza Inn, it is a state-of-the-art pizzeria offering dine-in and carryout options immediately with delivery and online ordering slated to begin late February. Aurelio’s will serve both lunch and dinner, offering its lunch buffet Monday through Friday. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“Owning a restaurant has always been my dream,” said Sara Roach, Aurelio’s Pizza Peoria franchise location owner. “My husband John is a massive Aurelio’s Pizza fan and when we decided to take this step, we knew it had to be Aurelio’s.”
Sara adds, “Our decision has been met with so much community support and enthusiasm. When we announced on Facebook we were opening in Peoria, we got fans instantly. We now have more than 1,060. They’ve been patiently awaiting our opening and now, the wait is over. We’re really excited to serve up the pizza that as one Facebook fan put it, she’s been drooling for.”
Aurelio’s Pizza offers appetizers, pizzas, pastas, salads and sandwiches – and, of course, fan favorites such as the Aurelio’s famous thin crust sausage pizza, antipasto salad, Super Six Pizza, and Mamma Aurelio’s Calabrese. And, as with every Aurelio’s location, customers will enjoy a quality, delicious meal, courteous service and a comfortable, family-friendly environment.
Sara and John also intend to be involved in the community. “Part of the Aurelio’s tradition is community support and that goes back to the beginning with Joe Aurelio. We have been entrenched in Peoria and are excited for Aurelio’s become part of the community,” said Sara. “We are working hard to be worthy of Peoria’s passion for pizza and cannot wait to begin working with the local businesses, charities, schools and teams.”
