The National Minority Franchising Initiative (NMFI) has compiled its annual list of the “50 Top Franchises for Minorities,” appearing in the October 12, 2012 issue of USA TODAY in the Franchising Today section. Among the hundreds of companies requesting evaluation, Fort Lauderdale-based The New Miami Subs Grill has been named among the Top 50 Franchises for Minorities, based on both the number of operating units owned by minorities and the number of minorities in senior management earning over $60,000 per year.
Not only does The New Miami Subs Grill focus on minority representation within the franchise, they are also committed to supporting and encouraging minority growth and success within the South Florida community. The New Miami Subs Grill recently joined the The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC), dedicated to advancing the commercial, financial, educational and civic interests of the ever-growing Hispanic Community of South Florida and serving as a resource center and forum to advocate for Hispanic and minority owned businesses.
“Throughout my years as a Miami Subs franchisee, this company has awarded me and my family with so many opportunities,” says Jose German. “I really appreciate being a part of the Miami Subs family with their phenomenal franchisee support system and dedication to success.”
Following franchising expansion efforts in South America and the announcement of international music sensation Pitbull as an equity partner in the company, The New Miami Subs Grill introduced the Latin Fusion menu during National Hispanic Heritage Month, highlighting the Hispanic influence and fusion of cultures and flavors in South Florida, while providing new and existing customers a wider variety of ethnic flavors.
The National Minority Franchising Initiative (NMFI) was a program launched by World Franchising Network (WFN) in 2000 to level the playing field and meet the needs of a largely under-represented market.
