OpenTable, the world’s leading provider of online restaurant reservations, today unveiled the Top 100 Hot Spot Restaurants in America for 2017. These awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 10 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 25,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The list includes restaurants with buzzy, engaging ambience, many of which feature interactive dining experiences, live entertainment, and appealing playlists. While American cuisine is quite popular, an international array of fares are present, especially Asian, Brazilian, Italian, Latin, Mexican, and Spanish.
Showcasing winners in major metropolitan areas as well as resort towns, the complete list features restaurants in 25 states, and includes Barton G. The Restaurant in Miami Beach, .ink in West Hollywood, and Vandal in New York. Sunny Florida boasts 17 winning restaurants, followed by California with 15, and New York and Ohio with nine apiece. Arizona and Pennsylvania have seven each, while Minnesota has five and Colorado and Tennessee have four. Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Texas all have three standout restaurants. Indiana, Michigan, and North Carolina earned two each. Alabama, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Oregon, and South Carolina are also represented.
“This year’s winning restaurants are pulsing with energy from both diners and the eateries’ atmospheres, creating an infectiously energetic dining experience,” said Caroline Potter, OpenTable Chief Dining Officer. “If you’re looking for a spot where fun is always on the menu, look to one of these honorees.”
The list of the Top 100 Hot Spot Restaurants in America is generated solely from more than 10 million verified OpenTable diner reviews collected between February 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017. All restaurants with a minimum “overall” score and number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. Qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of reviews for which “hot spot” was selected as a special feature.
Based on this methodology, the following restaurants, listed in alphabetical order, comprise the Top 100 Hot Spots Restaurants in America for 2017 according to OpenTable diners.
