Brand to donate $1 to Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake
One of the best things to happen after Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Giving Tuesday, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe is doing their part to kick off this season of charitable giving by pledging to donate $1 to Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake for each LTO featured Acai Smoothie sold on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. To date, Tropical Smoothie Café has donated over $4 million to this amazing organization. Choose from two different Acai Smoothies- Acai Blue Truffle, and Acai Blue- to treat yourself to a very berry holiday while giving back at the same time. To participate in Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s Giving Tuesday program, visit any of the brands over 525 locations on Tuesday, November 29.
“Thanks to the generosity of our guests, we have raised more than $910,000 this year alone for Camp Sunshine, our charitable partner of more than a decade,” said Mike Rotondo, CEO for Tropical Smoothie Cafe. “We are proud to be able to step up our efforts this year with Giving Tuesday by dedicating a portion of our featured Acai Smoothie sales to this great cause.”
For each featured Acai Smoothie sold on Giving Tuesday, $1 will be donated to Camp Sunshine. The charitable organization provides a happy, safe, camp experience to children and families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. Camp programs and support services are provided free of charge to all participating families.
The spirit of giving continues through December, as Tropical Smoothie Café encourages guests to show their support for Camp Sunshine by making 25-cent donations or any dollar amount during in-cafe visits now through December 25, 2016.
