Tropical Smoothie Cafe Seeks to Boost Customer Satisfaction with Menu Makeover

Tropical Smoothie Cafe, a quick and casual themed restaurant offering fresh, made-to-order food and real-fruit smoothies, announced today a new menu rollout for all 305 locations nationwide, including a 40 percent reduction of sodium in all chicken based menu items.

“Customers have always depended on Tropical Smoothie Cafe as an alternative to high calorie, high sodium fast food dining,” said Tropical Smoothie Cafe President and Chief Executive Officer, Erich Jenrich. “It’s important to us to continue leading the quick service restaurant category in offering healthier meals with a tropical twist and that includes updating the menu and offering higher quality ingredients, like the new lower-sodium chicken, when they become available.”

Committed to providing customers with an enjoyable experience and the freshest ingredients, the new streamlined menu boards showcase images of the Cafe’s most popular menu items, such as toasted wraps: Buffalo Chicken, King Caesar, Totally Turkey, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, and Thai Chicken. Other featured favorites include toasted flatbreads: Chicken Pesto, Baja Chicken, and the newest addition to the menu, Chipotle Chicken Club Flatbread, as well as, toasted sandwiches: Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad, Turkey Bacon Ranch, Wasabi and Caesar Roast Beef.

Drawing attention to its most popular smoothies, the new menu boards will picture six real-fruit smoothies: Sunny Day, Kiwi Quencher, Paradise Point, Mango Magic, Blimey Limey and Sunrise Sunset, and all other smoothies will be listed by category and price. A popular summer limited time offering, the Low-Fat Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie, is now a staple on the menu.

With the addition of menu items comes the all-natural, lower-sodium chicken featuring a citrus herb flavor to compliment the refreshed tropical-themed menu. The new sliced chicken has a lighter texture, replacing the former chopped chicken in all of Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s signature chicken recipes.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s more than 300 stores have already adopted the new menu and new lower-sodium chicken, and all are available for order in stores and online.

Every delicious menu item is served all day, now with 28 real fruit smoothies, 17 toasted wraps, sandwiches or flatbreads made to order with the highest quality meats, cheeses and fresh produce. Rounding out the all-day selection are three fresh, crisp gourmet salads and a variety soul-warming soups. Adhering to the company motto, customers enjoy fresh, quality ingredients, allowing them to, “Eat Better. Feel Better.”
