Popular sports lodge brand uses innovative fundraising initiatives to support America’s heroes
Twin Peaks Restaurants, the ultimate sports lodge renowned for its 29-degree draft beer, scratch-made food and handcrafted cocktails, announces a remarkable achievement: raising $100,000 for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation so far in 2024, bringing total lifetime donations since partnering with the nonprofit to $370,000 – with no plans of slowing down. Tunnel to Towers supports Gold Star families, injured veterans and first responders.
Over Memorial Day weekend, Twin Peaks ran successful fundraising promotions in all of its corporate and franchise stores. The “Give $5, Get $5” campaign offered guests a bonus card for the week with a $5 donation. Additionally, the Round It Up America® initiative encouraged guests to round up their checks or donate a specific amount, significantly boosting contributions.
During the annual Twin Peaks conference and Miss Twin Peaks International Contest in Arlington, Texas earlier this summer, a silent auction further supported the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This event, alongside the Memorial Day promotions, culminated in a $100,000 donation to the foundation, reinforcing Twin Peaks’ dedication to first responders and other true American heroes.
“We are incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation,” said Joe Hummel, CEO of Twin Peaks. “Our supportive guests and team members have shown tremendous support and generosity, reflecting our dedication to honoring and assisting first responders, veterans and Gold Star families. We are committed to continuing these efforts and making a lasting impact in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our country.”
Twin Peaks will be holding multiple fundraisers – including an annual golf tournament and restaurant promotions linked to professional sports events – throughout the year to add to its donations to the organization.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a charitable organization founded in tribute to New York Fire Department firefighter Stephen Siller, who was tragically killed during the September 11, 2001 attacks. The foundation supports mortgage-free homes for Gold Star families and specially adapted smart homes for injured veterans and first responders.
