Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant and Phoenix’s Best Burger, as voted by the readers of Phoenix New Times and Arizona Foothills Magazine, is set to open its newest Valley location on Wednesday, October 10 at the Marketplace at South Mountain at 2415 E Baseline Road in Phoenix. This is the 11th of 30 Phoenix-area Smashburgers that local franchisee SunWest Burgers, Smashburger’s two-time Franchisee of the Year and recent recipient of Smashburger’s Leadership award is slated to open over the next five years. The other Phoenix-area restaurants are located in Avondale, Glendale, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix and Tempe.
At Smashburger the secret is in the smash. They start with 100-percent—fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef and smash it on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, every Smashburger is served on a butter toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of real cheeses, the freshest produce, and top-quality condiments.

Each Phoenix-area Smashburger will feature a regional menu created with regional flavors and tastes in mind. The Phoenix menu includes the signature Arizona Smashburger, which is a 100-percent Certified Angus Beef burger, topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle mayo and fresh jalapenos on a chipotle bun. Phoenicians can also enjoy the Arizona Devil Dog topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, fresh jalapenos, spicy chipotle sauce and tomatoes on a lightly toasted poppy seed bun as well as the Arizona Cobb Salad featuring a mix of fresh greens, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions, guacamole and fresh jalapenos topped with spicy chipotle dressing.
Smashburger’s signature recipes and create your own burgers are smashed fresh, served delicious every time. But Smashburger is more than just burgers. The restaurant also serves up delicious chicken sandwiches, grilled and seared hotdogs, and delicious salads, with an array of sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries.
