All veterans and troops will receive one complimentary item from a fixed menu including some of Arooga’s favorites such as their famous Crab Pretzel, Arooga’s Chopped Salad, Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad, Buffalo Chicken Flatbread, its Original Bacon Grind Burger, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Grilled Cheese and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup, Spicy Italian Wrap or Sub, Original Boli, and, of course, their world famous boneless wings (10) tossed in any one of their more than 30 sauce creations.

“We’re honoring Memorial Day the best way we know how: by treating our area’s veterans and troops with a delicious meal at no charge,” said Gary Huether, Jr., co-founder and president of Arooga’s. “We appreciate all that they do for our great country and we look forward to showing them that appreciation on this special day.” This past Veterans Day, Arooga’s treated vets and troops to a similar complimentary meal, a tradition Huether Jr. says is here to stay. Arooga’s is also a proud supporter of VetFran, a program that helps to support veterans who wish to get involved in franchising. Arooga’s offers its largest discount on its franchising fee to any honorably discharged veteran who becomes an Arooga’s franchisee.

Arooga’s is one of the fastest growing restaurant concepts in the US, with soon-to-be 10 corporate locations in its hometown region of Central Pennsylvania and 24 franchise locations either in operation, construction or under contract. Arooga’s recently made its out-of-state debut with its first franchise location in Uncasville, Connecticut as part of a 15-unit franchise agreement with the Mohegan Holding Company. Arooga’s will be seen in Chicago later this year and in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area by 2017. Arooga’s will soon make its debut in New Jersey via of a multi-unit franchise agreement with Jersey Wings Unlimited Inc. to build a minimum of six locations in the Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean County areas of the state.

Arooga’s Memorial Day offer is for dine-in only and does not include beverage, tax, or gratuity. To receive the free meal, guests will need to provide proof of military service, which include U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, DD214, Citation or Commendation.
