Popular fast-casual fresh soup restaurant set for Sept. 14 grand opening
The nation’s leading fast-casual fresh soup concept – Zoup! – is preparing to open its doors in Washington, Pa., on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 181 Old Mill Blvd. in the Old Mill Shopping Center.
Washington’s first Zoup! also marks the 10th in Pennsylvania.
“My wife and I can’t wait to start serving our award-winning soups and made-to-order salads and sandwiches to the amazing community here in Washington,” said franchise owner Dean Evers, who owns the restaurant with his wife, Toni. “When we stepped into our first Zoup! restaurant, we were immediately drawn to how warm the atmosphere was and the friendliness of the employees. Then we sampled the soups and we were sold. Even our daughter, who is a very picky eater, loved a majority of the soups. We are all really looking forward to officially welcoming our neighbors to our beautiful new restaurant and to becoming an integral part of the local community.”
This is the Evers’ first Zoup! franchise. They hope to open three to five more locations throughout the Pittsburgh area in the near future.
On Sept. 13, the day before its official grand opening, Washington’s new Zoup! will host a fundraiser from 5-8 p.m. benefiting the Trinity Football Boosters and the Washington School District Boosters. For a $5 donation, guests will enjoy a bowl of their favorite soup, a big hunk of fresh-baked bread and a small fountain drink, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the Boosters.
To help customers select from the daily soups, sampling is encouraged. And, for those looking to save time, a daily soup menu and online ordering are available. Customers also can sign up online to receive a daily email menu.
As an established brand throughout the United States and Canada – with more than 100 restaurants in 20 states/provinces – Zoup! is targeting Pennsylvania as part of an overall expansion strategy.
