Make “No Bones About It,” Wingstop has awarded the winner of its first video contest, Jeremy Lough with $10,000 and a national television spot.
The award-winning wing chain with more than 540 locations, recently announced Jeremy Lough as the winner of its first video contest, which invited wing fans to submit a 30-second video showing off why they love Wingstop boneless wings.
Lough, an electrician and a music producer from Modesto, Calif., collaborated with partners Li Esquilin, Olivia Cane and Fresh and Fly Productions to come up with the winning video. The spot features Lough and the “Wingstop Stylefree Crew” rapping about boneless wings, and was one of almost 100 submissions Wingstop received for the contest.
“I have been a huge fan of Wingstop forever, and Li and I actually wrote the lyrics for this song about four years ago just for fun,” said Lough. “Our friends and family loved it so when this opportunity came up, we had to jump on it. We wrote the music and hoped for the best since we’ve never entered a video contest before, and that made winning so much more incredible!”
The “Wingstop Stylefree Crew” spot recently aired on ESPN2 as part of the Wingstop national television campaign.
“This contest was a fun way for us to interact with our customers and let them tell us why they love Wingstop,” said Jason McEachern, vice president of technology at Wingstop. “We have loyal, dedicated wing fans and we love to hear from our guests. This was a way to turn over control to our customers and see what they could come up with. Jeremy and the Stylefree Crew did a great job and we’re excited to recognize them.”
