Wingstop Coming Soon to Columbus

Wingstop is heating up Columbus, Ga. this fall with the opening of its first restaurant in the area, located at 2528 Weems Road at the intersection of Whittlesey Blvd. in North Columbus.

Columbus native and local business owner Ed Miller and his wife Marie recently signed a two-store agreement to bring Wingstop to the city. The couple also own four Bruster’s Real Ice Cream locations in Columbus and believe guests will embrace Wingstop and its focus on serving made-to-order wings.

“North Columbus is a growing community and we’re opening in a rapidly developing, popular shopping area,” said Ed Miller. “This is a perfect spot to introduce fans to our signature wings and sauces. Plus, sports and wings go hand-in-hand, and with football season in full swing, the timing is perfect to open our first location.”

The Wingstop menu features traditional and boneless wings, chicken strips and Glider sandwiches – all sauced and tossed in 10 original flavors. Homemade side dishes include fresh cut seasoned fries, made daily from Idaho potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad.

Miller’s location, which will seat more than 40 guests, is expected to open in October.

“We’re already working on our grand opening celebration,” added Miller. “We’re planning a wing-eating contest, and are excited to get involved and support the Columbus community.”

With more than 515 restaurants and Fox Sports analyst and Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman as its spokesperson, Wingstop is quickly becoming one of the most well known fast casual concepts in the country.

Wingstop of Columbus will be open daily from 11 a.m. – midnight. More information is available at Wingstop.com, Facebook.com/Wingstop.
