Almost ten years after introducing North Charleston to its first Wingstop, John Hanekamp has opened his second restaurant at 7250 Rivers Avenue, and is ready to sauce and toss wings for the growing number of fans in the North Area Corridor.
Hanekamp opened South Carolina’s first Wingstop in 2003 and is now bringing Wingstop’s fresh, made-to-order wings and seasoned fries to a new neighborhood of Wingstop fanatics.
“Both of my restaurants are in North Charleston, but in different areas, so we are conveniently located for almost everyone,” Hanekamp said. “We’re excited to bring Wingstop to fans in the Rivers Avenue area and introduce our wings to new guests as well.”
The Mt. Pleasant resident opened his first North Charleston location after trying Wingstop when he lived in Colorado, then quickly became a wing fanatic himself.
“I tried my first Wingstop in Denver and thought it was an awesome product,” said Hanekamp. “I decided to relocate to South Carolina and create a presence in this market because at the time there was none. After being open for a successful nine years, I was ready to expand. Because Wingstop is something I believe in, I plan to add even more locations in the coming years.”
With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features traditional and boneless wings, strips and the chain’s newest offering – Glider sandwiches – all sauced and tossed in 10 original flavors and side dishes like fresh-cut, seasoned fries.
The new North Charleston Wingstop, located at 7250 Rivers Ave, is open from 11 a.m. to midnight daily. To place call-ahead orders or more information, contact 843-261-9464 (WING). For online orders, or to locate the nearest Wingstop, visit www.wingstop.com.
