Just in time for baseball season, Wingstop and the Modesto Nuts announced that the award-winning chicken wing chain has partnered with the minor league baseball team for the 2013 season.
To celebrate the partnership, Wingstop has launched a Text Campaign available exclusively for Modesto Nuts game attendees. During 35 home games, fans will have the chance to text “NUTS” to a specified number to receive special offers from local Wingstop restaurants. Fans will also be prompted to Text “WINGSTOP” to 84816 during all home games for weekly offers and updates.
“Wings and sports go hand-in-hand and we are thrilled to be part of the Modesto Nuts lineup this season,” said Jim Toal, owner-operator of several Wingstops in the Modesto area. “We love being part of the Modesto community, and are excited to give back to fans and cheer on the Modesto Nuts.”
Wingstop will also serve as the official sponsor of the 2013 Modesto Nuts “Fan Fest” next Saturday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Held at John Thurman Field, the event is free to the public and will include balloon artists, face painters and additional activities for children, as well as a meet and greet with the 2013 Modesto Nuts roster.
Additionally, the Nuts will host a Wingstop “Atomic Wing Eating Contest” during two home games this season.
