With Hard Work, Two Former Sarpino's Employees Achieve the American Dream and Begin to Build Their Own EmpireTaras Gufrii and Vadym Moshenets used to work as Sarpino’s delivery drivers. Now they are franchisees of two of their own Sarpino’s restaurants. Moreover they plan to have a total of 22 restaurants throughout Illinois in just five years.

Gufrii and Moshenet bought their first restaurant at 577 W. Dundee Rd, Palatine, IL 60074 and their second restaurant at 1384 Meadow Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062.

Gufrii and Moshenets worked their way up the ladder one rung at a time. “We started as delivery drivers, then worked as managers,” said Gufri. “We like the Sarpino’s culture and high-quality products.”

Gufrii and Moshenets watched others buy franchises from Sarpino’s while they worked as Sarpino’s employees. “We were impressed by different franchisees who reached goals and grew their business,” said Gufrii. “That’s why we teamed up and bought our own franchise.”

Gufrii says one of the best parts of having a partner is the ability to divide duties. “Vadym handles advertising, promotions, working with apartment complexes, hospitals, dealerships, schools, and big facilities,” said Gufrii.

Meanwhile, Gufrii does more of the hands-on work. He works directly with their employees, handles food processing, accounting, and all the paperwork a business entails.

Gufrii has a passion for food and he shares that passion with his customers. “I think the passion for tasty food and the desire to make our customers happy was born in our hearts,” said Gufrii. “It makes us very happy to hear positive feedback about the food and service we are providing.”

Gufrii emphasizes the importance of hard work. He and Moshenets both get up very early in the morning to get the store ready and they close the stores at three o’clock in the morning. “This is a seventeen-hour shift,” said Gufrii.

“If you are a hard worker, focused and responsible,” said Gufrii, “This business gives you a great opportunity to implement your goals and dreams.”

Sarpino’s Pizzeria currently has 48 fully operational locations in eight states across the U.S. They have a total of 65 fully executed franchise agreements. They expect to have 65 locations open by the end of 2015 and 350 locations within five years. Target markets with current store opportunities include Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, New York, Florida, Georgia, Iowa Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
