San Francisco CA – Tanglad
A new Vietnamese restaurant named Tanglad will be opening in San Francisco, taking over the building that was previously home to Slurp Noodle Bar. The official Tanglad Instagram account indicates the establishment will serve a variety Vietnamese dishes including pho and bánh mi. An official opening date has not been released. Tanglad’s owner Alexandrino Alfonso has not responded to Hoodline on any requests for comments on the matter. There has also been nothing filed for construction updates within the building.
Texarkana TX – Capital Burger
It did not take long for a new burger place to begin the process of opening in the location of the former Burger Joint on State Line Avenue. Capital Burger, hearkening to both Austin, the capital of Texas, and the idea that Texarkana is the burger capital of the Lone Star State, is a place where the burger is front and center.
Tampa FL – The Hall
The owner of the Hall on Franklin will open a new food hall at Midtown Tampa, developers for the ambitious new project announced Tuesday. The Hall at Midtown, from the Hall on Franklin founder Jamal Wilson, will open with seven new restaurant concepts inside a sprawling mixed-used development early next year.
Perris CA – Mountain Mike’s Pizza
Mountain Mike’s Pizza announced the opening of its first Perris location. Located in the Perris Plaza near Food 4 Less, the new Mountain Mike’s Pizza makes the brand’s signature experience of enjoying “Pizza the Way it Oughta Be” even more accessible to Inland Empire locals. The Perris location is owned by franchisee and area developer, Robby Basati, who owns 14 Mountain Mike’s locations throughout California, six of which are in the Inland Empire.
Sellersburg IN – El Catrin Mexican Kitchen
The owners of New Albany’s La Catrina Mexican Kitchen are preparing to open a “brother” restaurant in Sellersburg. Couple Roza and Juan Segoviano, who also own Señor Iguanas, are preparing to open El Catrin Mexican Kitchen at 7773 Highway 311. La Catrina, a downtown New Albany restaurant, opened in January 2019. The new restaurant is expected to open in early September.
San Antonio TX – Deco Pizzeria
Deco Pizzeria has announced on social media that a third location is coming and this time it’s on the South Side.A sneak peek was given on their Facebook page last week inside the new place where construction is underway.
