Panama, FL – Chicken Salad Chick
Chicken Salad Chick, the nation’s only southern inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced today it will be expanding in Florida with its newest restaurant in Panama City. The Panama City location marks Chicken Salad Chick’s fourth restaurant along the state’s Emerald Coast and second opening in Florida this year, following the brand’s debut in Trinity in January. Located at 560 Hawkins Avenue, the Panama City restaurant will celebrate its grand opening on October 7 and will offer free chicken salad for a year to the first 100 guests.

Westfield, NJ – Bareburger Westfield
A long-awaited restaurant and bar specializing in organic meat is still on track to open, despite coronavirus, the mayor said. Last week, Mayor Shelley Brindle said the owner of the Bareburger franchise conveyed to her that New Jersey’s rules for indoor dining capacity will determine the specific opening time. “They’re making a lot of progress on their space and it looks great,” Brindle told the board of Downtown Westfield Corp. “They said they will be ready to open in November, but if they open in November will depend on indoor dining capacities.”

Broomfield, CO – Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza
Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza is opening its newest location in Broomfield. The new restaurant will be in the Parkway Marketplace at 11410 Via Varra Road Suite 300, and is slated to open on October 8. This will be the brand’s second location in Colorado, and first location for local husband-and-wife duo Andy and Jamie Gunther. “The entire concept is something that spoke to us both,” says Andy. “You know the food is fresh because there’s no freezer in the restaurant and, with everything cooked in the wood-fired oven in just 90 seconds, the pizzas are high quality and taste unlike anything else in the industry.”

Memphis, TN – Hen House Wine Bar
Chairs for Hen House Wine Bar, which is slated to open at the end of October in East Memphis, are now filling up the Dockery house. They have 40 chairs in the house and more on the patio and in the garage, says Michaela Dockery, who owns the restaurant with her husband, Dr. Dee Dockery. “We look like a bunch of hoarders right now,” she says. And, she says, “I’m just going to park in the driveway now. Hopefully, our floors will be finished in the next week or two. Things are going much faster now.”

Yorktown Heights, NY – Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
A new fast food restaurant is on its way to Yorktown. Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, known for its New Orleans-style comfort food, is currently under construction in the Staples Plaza on Crompond Road. The new fast food location was approved by the Yorktown town board in 2018, according to the town’s website.

Knoxville, TN – KoPita Meats
Zenatti plans to open the restaurant in early October at 522 S. Gay St., the former home of Viet Bread and Tea, just next door to his vegan restaurant. “It very much surprised me people in Knoxville started to get familiar with this kind of food and really gave me good support,” he told Knox News. “And that’s why I wanted to open another one.”
