Charlotte, NC – Superica
These restaurants aren’t letting the Covid-19 pandemic get in the way of their opening plans this fall. Tex-Mex brand Superica is back on track for a November opening in south Charlotte after the pandemic caused previous construction delays. And Charlotte restaurateur Rob Duckworth is planning to open his Link & Pin concept in Huntersville by late October, with another location slated to follow later in south Charlotte.
Fort Lauderdale, FL – Tacocraft Taqueria & Tequila Bar
A tightly coiled ball of energy bouncing between present and future projects, Marc Falsetto only became certain about the location of his new Tacocraft Taqueria & Tequila Bar in downtown Fort Lauderdale when he was able to sit still. For two weekends late last year, Falsetto set a chair on the sidewalk in front of the former MidiCi restaurant space on Federal Highway, the border between the new bustle of Flagler Village and the upscale moderation of Victoria Park.

Bar-K and Red Solo Pup will be two of Oklahoma City’s newest places to hang out with your family and your furry friend come next year. Right now, Oklahoma City doesn’t have any place like the two. While the concepts are similar, the owners of the venues got started very differently.
Miami, FL – BurgerFi
Nationwide gourmet hamburger chain BurgerFi plans to open its third Jacksonville-area restaurant in Neptune Beach. BurgerFi intends to open in a 2,100-square-foot space at Seminole Shoppes, 630 Atlantic Blvd, Regency Centers, the owner, operator, and developer of the shopping center announced in a news release Tuesday. Smashburger formerly occupied the space.
Canton, OH – Don Shula’s
Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company, the only resort, entertainment and media company centered around the power of professional football and owner of the Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls in Canton, Ohio, is excited to announce that it will be bringing a new signature restaurant, Don Shula’s, to the birthplace of American professional football – Canton, Ohio. Don Shula’s will be a new concept introduced by Shula’s Restaurant Group specifically for the Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls. The restaurant, which will pay homage to Coach Shula’s upbringing in Ohio as well as his legacy within the game of football, will be an anchor tenant of the Retail Promenade and is expected to open in late 2021.
