Yogurtland Opens First Location in Massachusetts

Yogurtland, the ever-popular quickly expanding self-serve frozen yogurt pioneer, announces the opening of its first Boston area location. Located at 273 Harvard Street in Brookline, this is the first of four Yogurtland shops planned to open in Massachusetts over the next month. The other locations include Harvard Square in Cambridge, 294 Newbury Street in Boston, and Newton Center in Newton.

For Yogurtland, this Brookline location is a critical step in the brand’s expansion in the Northeast that will include both company-owned and franchised locations. The company is actively seeking qualified franchise partners throughout the Boston market.

Presently there are more than 220 locations across the U.S., Australia, Guam, Mexico and Venezuela with more than 50 additional locations scheduled to open worldwide over the next six months.

At Yogurtland’s self-serve frozen yogurt shops, guests are welcomed by a bright, cheerful wall of sweet and tart yogurt flavors and a topping bar filled with healthful and indulgent options. Paying by the ounce, guests can choose among 16 yogurt flavors to create their own delicious frozen treat and top it off their way.

Since the opening of the first location in 2006, Yogurtland has been known for its smooth and creamy yogurt that combines authentic flavors for a delicious taste that’s also good for you. Naturally occurring calcium and vitamin D make Yogurtland yogurt a healthful, refreshing treat. Fruit flavors are also fortified with vitamin C. All of Yogurtland’s flavors meet the National Yogurt Association Criteria for “live and active culture frozen yogurt” and are produced in a kosher-certified facility. Yogurtland features non- and low-fat yogurt flavors as well as dairy-free and no sugar added choices.

Yogurtland’s premium custom flavors come from real ingredients sourced from their original locations – Madagascar vanilla beans from Madagascar, Belgian chocolate from Belgium, Maqui Berry from Patagonia. No other yogurt chain offers such original flavors and exciting combinations such as Salted Caramel Pecan, Blackberry Passion Fruit Tart, Lychee Tart, Dragon Passion Fruit Tart, and Mango and Matcha Green Tea. Yogurtland locations serve 16 different flavors daily with an average of 25 calories per ounce.

Yogurtland offers more than 15 different kinds of seasonal real fruit and more than 45 choices of other premium toppings to customize your refreshing yogurt creation. Keeping it real also means keeping it fresh. Each day, Yogurtland hand cuts about 500 pineapples and more than 6,000 pounds of strawberries. Other seasonal fruit options include bananas, blackberries, honeydew melon, kiwi, lychee, peaches and watermelon. Other popular toppings include your favorite childhood breakfast cereals of Capt n Crunch and Fruity Pebbles to grown-up tastes such as granola, carob chips, yogurt chips, and coconut flakes and chocolaty favorites such as Hershey’s Heath Bar and more.
